WebCT Login
Courses Begin August 25, 2008
You will be able to access your course sites a few days prior to the first day of classes. An announcement will be posted on the home page once classes are available. Please note that, although your courses will be listed, course content will not be available until the first day of classes. For a listing of important dates, please refer to the calendar of Critical Dates.
New Login Instructions for English-Language Courses Only
Although many of you are familiar with the login process due to
upgrading the interface there may be some differences. To access your
courses, click the login button on the right. A new
browser window will open prompting you to select either the E-Learning
System or the older WebCT Vista system. Please select the E-Learning
System and be sure that the radio button next to the Gatorlink authentication is selected, then click continue. This will bring you
to
a screen prompting you to log in with your Gatorlink username and
password.
If you receive any errors logging in, try using the Non-Gatorlink authentication - if this fails, please contact us.
Login Instructions for Foreign Language Courses Only
To access your courses, click the login button on the right. A new browser window will open prompting you to enter your GatorLink username and password.
Some of you may receive the following error message if your information has not yet been updated in the VISTA database:
"Your username or password is incorrect". Please try logging again Monday or Tuesday next week and if you still have problems contact us.
New Students
If you have not already done so, you will need to create a GatorLink account by visiting the UF GatorLink Web site. Creating a GatorLink account requires a UFID number. You can look up your UFID number at the UF's Office of Information Technology web site. However, this process requires you to enter a US Social Security Number. If you do not have a US Social Security Number, please send an email to forensicsupport@cop.ufl.edu to request your UFID.
Note to late registrants: Once you have created a GatorLink account, please send your GatorLink username (do not include password) to forensicsupport@cop.ufl.edu to ensure that your GatorLink username is added to the WebCT database and the appropriate course(s) as soon as possible.
Returning Students
The Forensic Science Distance Education courses use UF's GatorLink Authentication system. This single username and password combination gives you access to many UF resources. See the Getting Started page for more information.
Returning students should use the same gatorlink username and password as before. However, it is possible that your account or password has expired since then. To determine if your account or password is expired, visit myUFL and login with your GatorLink username and password.
